3.22.20 Update
05/22/2020
Dear Lake Geneva Schools Parents & Staff, On May 13, 2020, the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down almost all of the “Safer at Home Order,” Executive Order 28. The Court did not, however, strike down the section of the Safer at Home Order that closed public and private K-12 schools. That section of the Safer at Home Order remains applicable and enforceable. Therefore, the Court’s decision does not reopen school buildings, which remain closed through June 30. Per our district calendar, the last day of school for students is Friday, June 5, 2020. We will continue providing online learning opportunities until that date, just as we have over the past several weeks. I encourage you to continue to promote this educational opportunity for your children until the conclusion of the school year.

3.18.20 Update From Superintendent
03/18/2020
Governor Tony Evers announced Tuesday afternoon that Wisconsin’s K-12 schools are now closed “for the duration of the public health emergency.” (The previous tentative date to resume school was April 6). During this time, it will be our goal to continue to provide your child with a quality education to the best of our abilities. Virtual learning is a new experience for all of us, but we are hopeful that it will continue to meet the needs of our students. The probability of an extended and prolonged closure brings into question some of our time-honored events including high school events such as Prom, Scholarship Night and Graduation as well as LGMS Graduation/Promotion. We are still planning on having these events, but they may have their dates and format changed depending upon the length of our closure. Further communication will take place surrounding these and other scheduled school events. However, none will take place until school resumes or the public health emergency comes to an end. Our school offices and the administration building will remain open with revised hours of operation. Those hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. until further notice. Office and administrative staff will be available during this time. It would still be safer for all to contact your school by phone or e-mail, but if you have to enter the building, please practice social distancing by trying to keep a six-foot distance between our office or administrative staff and yourself.
