Rona Coltman

Art Education

Rona ColtmanRona has worked with Lake Geneva Schools for 6 years teaching K-5th grade students Art. She lives in Lake Geneva with her husband Brad, and my three daughters Emma, Esther and Ella. She graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art, Communications and a minor in Art History. She began working as a graphic designer with various marketing and design firms in Chicago and eventually had her own design business for 6 years. During this time, she also volunteered with various schools in the Chicago area and realized her love for working with children was greater than her love working in the marketing and advertising world. She returned to Northeastern Illinois University and earned a K-8 general education and a K-12 Art teaching certification.

When she is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family, on the water, taking a hike or long walks or doodling and drawing. She looks forward to working with students and helping them find their own creativity and talents in Art.

Anne is married to Neil, and has 5 children: 4 boys and 1 girl, aged 14 on down to 3. She
loves Lake Geneva, and decided to move here 13 years ago to put down her family roots and has enjoyed all the great memories they have build as a family. She loves all that the area offers! She enjoys reading—especially mysteries—and having picnics by the lake with her family. Being a witness to her kids’ lives and activities brings her joy on a daily basis. She has two puppies named Indy and Oreo. They will both turn two in November and they make life a bit crazier in the best of ways!
